Designing a heat sink
WebJun 29, 2024 · This project involves designing a heat sink, for an electronic chip of area (80mm * 60mm) that is placed in the environment in which the temperatures reaches up to 55 degree Celsius. Steps were taken to solve the problem using design formulas with respect to the given specifications & the ambient temperature. WebJul 25, 2024 · Basically, there are two ways to get rid of heat out of your device. It can be either an active heat sink design or a passive heat sink design. The passive ones carry natural convection while the active ones carry forced convection to dissipate the heat. If you want the most efficient heat sink design, then forced convection can be a better option.
